Brenda S. Fishbein

Brenda S. Fishbein, a partner in the firm, received her B.A. in English from the University of Maryland in 1973. Originally from Montgomery County, Ms. Fishbein has resided in Howard County since 1976.

Prior to graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law in June, 1979, Ms. Fishbein worked in the Disability Claims Department of the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, Maryland for five years. She was admitted to the Bar in 1979.

Concentrating her efforts to assist clients in personal injury matters and domestic relations. Ms. Fishbein also handles matters involving wills, estates and problems of the elderly population. Commercial client representation includes contract litigation, business organization and debt collection.

In addition to the Maryland and Howard County Bar Associations, Ms. Fishbein is also a member of the Women's Bar Association of Maryland and the local Howard County Chapter. A former member of the Howard County Commission for Women, Ms. Fishbein is also a member of the Howard County Business Women's Network.

An active member of her local community, Ms. Fishbein has served as an officer of her homeowner's association and was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Howard County section of the National Council of Jewish Women for over ten years.

Ms. Fishbein has been a guest lecturer for the Howard Community College's Business Law Course for several years, has been invited to speak to students at several of the area schools on various legal issues and has conducted mock trials for area students.

The law firm is a member of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce and the Ellicott City Business Administration and has acted as legal counsel to the Ellicott City Business Administration since 1989.
